The Wolfdancer Golf Club at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort has commissioned Christopher St. Leger, a local Texan artist, to render a series of watercolors featuring its championship course—an 18-hole facility designed by world-renowned golf architect Arthur Hills.
Just as Wolfdancer was designed to take full advantage of the natural lay of the land, Mr. St. Leger has taken brush and stroke to produce this initial, alluring setting of the 13th hole, aptly named ”Around the Corner,” as depicted on the right. Imagine your second shot played with a mid to long iron from the shadows in the foreground. The approach opens up to the right of the green and is hidden by the slope and bunker 30 yards shorter. Make sure to hit the correct club as the green is long and narrow. Pin position is crucial. Don’t miss your approach to the left as the high slope makes a difficult up and down.
